Portsmouth, Virginia native, recording artist, Kalene Scott has been fostering her gift of music for most of her life. As a child, Kalene sang in various competitions and shows, where she continued to expand and hone her craft. It was not until 2020 that she decided to bet on herself and seriously pursue a career in music. Kalene’s journey has afforded her the opportunity to have her music distributed via Sony’s AWAL distribution. She has been hard at work in the studio, crafting her full-length debut, featuring contributions from songwriters/producers such as Harold Lilly (Luther Vandross, Mario, Beyoncé), Mad Skillz (Nicki Minaj, Will Smith), Lee Major (Jay-z, DJ Khalid, Fat Joe), MIZBEATZ (October London) and Andrew Hypes (Lecrae, Johnta Austin). With influences such as Monica, Beyoncé, Jill Scott, Brandy, and Mary J. Blige, Kalene’s focus is on delivering the original ambiences of R&B with a contemporary perspective.
