Annika Starander Weaver channels the one and only Cher with captivating charisma, powerful vocals, and an uncanny likeness that has wowed audiences around the world. Originally from Sweden, Annika was born into a musical family and began performing from a young age, quickly discovering her passion for the stage.

After completing John Kincade’s Stage School in Sweden, Annika moved to the U.S. to continue her training at the renowned Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California. Her talent and drive soon landed her in major production shows across Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Florida, the Bahamas, Reno, Phoenix, Albuquerque, and internationally in Thailand and Singapore.

A dynamic and versatile performer, Annika has headlined in a wide range of shows spanning pop, rock, burlesque, and country. But it was her striking resemblance to Cher—and her natural ability to embody the legend’s iconic voice and presence—that led her to develop a full tribute to the superstar.

Annika’s portrayal of Cher is more than a performance—it’s a celebration. Virginia’s Premier Horn & Party Band, BrassWind spans the scope of music authentically: a calculated rhythm section, captivating vocalists, and of course; high-octane Brass! Since 2018, the roster has evolved and the scope of genres & styles has grown making them the most eclectic party band around.

BrassWind is composed completely of retired/active-duty military & rounded out by several of the original charter-member teachers that have remained. Though the roster and genres/styles have evolved & grown, the mission has always been the same: To bring back good quality music to Hampton Roads and beyond…and to do it the right way.
