Rosie’s + Colonial Downs began operations in the Commonwealth just two years ago. From the very beginning, we built our company with DEI at the forefront of our core business decisions. We carefully crafted teams that were reflective of the communities we serve. As team members came on board, our unifying message was the same: you have the freedom to be who you are! Team members were hired for their abilities as well as the characteristics that make them unique.
Our team members hail from across the Commonwealth and represent a variety of backgrounds. As you visit each property, our diverse staff makes each encounter truly special. From one property to the next, the people may change, but the smiles and outstanding guest service remains the same. At Rosie’s + Colonial Downs, we offer inclusive workplaces that value and celebrate diversity. We believe all team members should have an equal opportunity, as well as the support they need to achieve their professional goals.
Our commitment to diversity does not end with our team members. It also extends to how we do business. We have intentionally set meaningful goals to work with diverse suppliers across the supply chain. We have solicited the help of local workforce organizations to ensure we are positioned to meet and hopefully exceed our goal.
We recognize that maintaining an equitable and inclusive culture is an ongoing process that requires diligence on everyone’s part. Therefore, we pledge to continue to listen to our team members and guests, as well as local and national dialogue related to DEI initiatives so that we can promptly address matters as they arise.

Our goal is to provide viability and growth for local and diverse businesses achieved by strategic partnerships. We are committed to sharing updates to interested suppliers with information about current and future procurement opportunities with a multitude of property and departmental needs.
Our policies highlighting equity and inclusion are cemented in Rosie’s + Colonial Downs daily operations. Our actions are not driven by the bottom line.
