Secretariat Turf Course
Colonial’s two state-of-the-art racing surfaces are second to none. The Secretariat Turf Course is the widest grass racing surface in North America and has played host to champion horses over the last two decades in prestigious races like the New Kent County Virginia Derby. The dirt track is the country’s second largest and offers equine athletes a safe and sprawling oval to compete over.

1609 Turf Club
Indoor seating. Ticket price includes a premium view, balcony access, live racing program and designated wagering section. A la carte restaurant service and beverage menu will be provided for additional fee. Enter through main facility entrance.
Jockey Club
Indoor seating. Ticket price includes in-seat food service on Thursdays & Fridays and buffet on Saturdays from 12:30PM-3:30PM. Beverage service provided for an additional fee. Ticket also includes live racing program and designated wagering section. Enter through the main facility entrance.
Grandstand Boxes
Covered, outdoor seating. Ticket includes designated wagering section. Ticket does not include food or beverage service but concessions will be available for your convenience. Enter through General Admission entrance near the paddock. Note: must take stairs to get to seats.
Grandstand Reserved
Covered, outdoor seating. Ticket pricing does not include food or beverage service but concessions will be available for your convenience. Designated wagering section available in the grandstands. Enter through General Admission entrance near the paddock. Note: must take stairs to get to seats.
General Admission
General Admission is FREE on most race days for the 2025 summer meet and offers apron access with trackside and paddock-side viewing. Outdoor concessions and wagering will be available.
Note: A $5 General Admission ticket is required for the following days: August 23, and September 6. (General admission is free for children 5 and under).
Tickets to Colonial Downs are sold exclusively through the Ticketmaster website. If you purchase tickets from any other source, such as Vivid Seats or StubHub, we cannot guarantee your seat. The prices of tickets obtained from unauthorized sources are often greatly inflated. Colonial Downs is not responsible for tickets purchased from other sources. Tickets purchased from secondary sellers are not eligible for replacement if tickets are lost or stolen, or if the event is canceled or rescheduled.
