Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums to Re-Open July 1 Extra Care Program to Provide Safe Environment When Guests and Team Members Return

Richmond, VA – June 26, 2020 – Colonial Downs Group, which operates Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums in Richmond, Hampton, New Kent County and Vinton is pleased to announce it is time again for some good, clean fun! After months of following stay-in-place shelter directives, Rosie’s will be entering Phase 3 of the Commonwealth’s re-opening for business plan next week. Our doors will be back open on July 1.
To provide for the health and safety of all guests and employees once business resumes, Rosie’s has implemented an “Extra Care” program with dozens of new medical and sanitation policies and procedures including:
· Face coverings required for all guests and team members.
· All guests and team members will have their temperature screened prior to entry. No one with a confirmed temperature of 100.4 or above will be allowed entry.
· Crowd shields have been installed at all guest service stations.
· Rearranged public areas (gaming areas, restaurant seating, betting terminals) and team member workstations have been rearranged to provide adequate physical distancing.
· Significant investment in advanced cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
· Established rigorous cleaning protocols and training.
· Invested more than $500,000 in resources for our mitigation efforts.

Speaking about the program, Aaron Gomes, Chief Operating Officer for Colonial Downs Group noted, “We have witnessed unprecedented times. The enhanced features in this plan have been developed in accordance with recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and their “Guidance for Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19.”
