Live Racing Group Event Policies And Procedures
Colonial Downs Racetrack + Rosie’s Gaming Emporium® is committed to providing you with an enjoyable experience when attending our exciting live racing meet with your guests. This guide will outline the required timelines and other procedures we need to follow so that we can exceed your expectations.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE ORDERING
All suite and group reservations contracted prior to 7/1/2021 are required to submit food and beverage service choices by 7/6/2021.
Any reservation contracted after 7/1/2021 is required to submit food and beverage service choices two (2) weeks prior to the event date. Changes in guaranteed guest count may be submitted up to five (5) business days prior to the event date.
Orders for additional items or quantity increases received within five (5) days of the event or during the event are subject to availability.
All menu items are designed for consumption at Colonial Downs Racetrack only and may not be removed from the facility.
ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGE AND TAX
Customer shall pay a service charge of eighteen percent (18%) and the following applicable sales tax: Virginia state tax of 6% and New Kent meals tax of 4%.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Payments shall be made by one of the following methods: Cash, Credit Card, or Company Check. Customer shall provide Colonial Downs Racetrack with credit card information to store on file via a secure, PCI compliant portal or by phone. If orders are added the day of the event, an updated itemized bill will be presented to the suite host for signature before departure. If the final amount is not paid by the specified event end time, customer authorizes Colonial Downs Racetrack to charge the remaining balance to the credit card on file.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Virginia State Law requires that all alcoholic beverages consumed on property must be purchased from Colonial Downs Racetrack. To ensure a safe and enjoyable time and to maintain compliance with the rules and regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Colonial Downs Racetrack + Rosie’s Gaming Emporium®, no wine, spirits or beer may be brought into or removed from the suites or other public spaces of the racetrack facility. Virginia State Law requires patrons consuming alcoholic beverages to be at least 21 years of age. Colonial Downs Racetrack reserves the right to refuse service of alcoholic beverages to any person who visibly appears to be intoxicated or to anyone that is unable to produce an acceptable identification.
